Annews24; The most popular and biggest International Light Festival will be coming to Qatar for the first time ever in the first week of December 2018.
The festival will be held at Lusail Marina and is called Light Me Lusail, the three-day festival that will start on December 6 and will feature vibrant light installations in the Eastern Promenade, It will be from 6 pm to 11:30 pm.
Installations of internationally acclaimed artist and co-founder of Ocubo, which specialises in light video mapping projection, Nuno Maya will be present at the festival.
The festival will feature a two-part installation, how the artist visualises and explores the heritage and future of Qatar,
The concept of the passage is not only explored by public walking but through the perception of time.
The Nest is an other installation that will be on display. It was developed by Indian light designers and architects Vikas Patil and Santosh Gujar.
Based on bowerbirds of Australia, the organic architecture is built from recycled materials and includes multiple light sequence.
The event promises to be an immersive sensorial installation related to natural phenomenon yet focusing on external and internal sensation by leading the audience to experience an altered state.
